Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Texcity’s Flagship project has always been the biggest awaited moment. And finally, it has happened on 30th of October, 2023 named MAYA. It was a joint project with PACE foundation and Rotaract Club of IIVM. It took place at a slum area near Anna Nagar, Sowripalayam, Coimbatore. This slum is a very underdeveloped area where people suffer with lot of health and financial problems. As an initiative to lessen their burdens The club has conducted Health beneficiary programmes like Eye Checkup Camp, Live Eye Safety Awareness Session for elders and children and Entertainment programmes like VR show, Traditional Games, Mystery Box, Mr & Miss Maya to the children in this project which was very effective and entertaining to the elders and the children. The elders have benefited a lot through the eye camp where they got a complete eye checkup by which they will be able to move to further treatment. And the children were very excited to look into the VR box for the first time and was overwhelmed by joy which will hold a very remarkable memory of their childhood forever and they were also very happy to play the traditional games and other activities conducted by the team. Overall, like any other projects of them this was also a very successful and remarkable projects of team Texcity as always.
